Where to put my external waste gate with pics
« on: May 25, 2016, 11:10:15 PM »

I'm limited on space and don't know where else to put it. Will this be able to properly regulate boost in this location?  4cly, tial mvs waste gate, Holset HE341 turbo. More manifold pics and info in my build thread in the "fabrication" section.

I'd run it and see. Boost creep is the poor man traction control :noel:

its not divided in there before the turbo. its a damn near plenum that the wastegate is pulling from. you have a big turbo on little motor. you wont have any issues. assuming you get traction anyway, on a heavy 3-4 pull it may creep some at the top, but probably just a couple lbs, and you can easily tune for that. i really doubt you will hit a 10psi spring, then it just wander its ass up to 20... its more like solid 14psi, with maybe a 16psi at the top of 4th... maybe im talking out my ass, but i doubt im far off.

RUN IT LIKE THAT.

the manifold on my Galant is a DIVIDED T4 with a single wastegate off 2 of the runners. no one seems to have issues with the manifold like that. was on buddies car with no issues.
