Title: De-ricing the rice rocket....
Post by: darkelvis on March 09, 2009, 10:23:46 PM
-95 Civic CX hatch
-picked it up from some ricer for 1000 with a blown engine
-Sold the Del Sol seats, sold the motegi (sp?) 17" rims, and sold the blown swap and made my money back and then some, essentially got the shell for free

The day I got her:

And two more pictures, I did a test spray on part of a junk bumper the other day to get a feel for the color...note I didn't use any primer, i didn't do any body work, i didn't wetsand the paint...I just sprayed 3 coats on to get a feel for the color...yes, it is single stage, yes I'm painting the car with single stage...

In the late afternoon sun:

I finally broke down and took off the door so I could block it without sitting on a milk crate and hunching over.  I'll pull the other door off to work on it when this one is ready.

bought it from some website and had to modify it slightly to fit, I can't remember the site off hand though...ask stevemode...he has the same cage.  I think it was around $300ish though for it.

That motor looks awesome, definitely get it done and running!

Car runs and drives (well used to, wont run worth a shit anymore for some reason as of last summer and I haven't really dug into it too far).  God only knows when this project will be finished.  I've been working on it off-and-on for like 3-4 years.  :-X

Wow some people do the most retarded things to Civics. How did this even start? Weren't all the Civics in F&F mostly black & shit?

I do have to say, they at least had decent ricetezzas (well, half of them). I wish they still made all-clears that I could paint red like that.
